Editing Your  Webpage! 

 

To begin editing your  webpage, follow these simple  instructions below.

 STEP:  1.) Login to your Website Panel at  www.mypublicwebsite.com "Click" on the FILE TAB  located on your left.


 STEP:  2.) Once you have Clicked on the FILE TAB please "Click" and open the Page Name: [?] you created.
-This is the very first webpage you created.
(If you have NOT created your first webpage please do so by "Clicking"
Here and following the instructions.)


 STEP:  3.) After clicking on your first  webpage created, your Webpage or Template should open in the window to your right.
 

  Now, your web page is in Edit Mode, you can now  begin to change or edit your first web page..

 ATTENTION: You may ONLY  edit your webpage Template within the Edit Box or Table located in the middle of the your webpage.
(Your editing options depend on the  plan you purchased.)




 STEP:
 5.)  To begin, "Click" inside of the Edit Box located in the middle of your webpage, now insert a table.

Creating Tables

To insert a table "Click" on the Table Image located on the Edit Toolbar above your webpage Template.

The table Icon is what you will use for most of your Editing on your website. It is here where you will insert a table, add, remove
 or edit columns.

Once you have clicked on the table Icon,  now you must insert a table, "Click" on the option that says insert table.
A window will now open asking you your Table Options, such as how many rows, columns or border thickness you would like in your table.
In your Table Options you can ad or change the color of your table background table alignment on your webpage.
(To give you an Idea about Tables, Imagine tables as being a frame for a picture or portrait.
An artist uses picture frames to hold their art work  in.
Web Designers use Tables to hold their Art work or WebDesign in.


Basically you will design your webpage inputting text, images, inside the Tables that you are about to create.

 Note: Below is an example  of Table Options

 STEP:  6.) You should always start your website by inserting 1 Row and 2 Column and 0 Borders for your  website.
It is a good idea to separate your Text in one column and your Image or Images in the other column.

STEP:  7.) Once you created your Table with 1 Row and  2 Columns and 0 Borders  Click the "OK" button.
You may change the amount of Rows or Columns your table has by "Clicking" the
  Icon on the Edit Tool Bar above your webpage,
or you may Right "Click" to Modify the Table Properties.
(Modifying Table Properties gives you the option to Edit, Add, or Delete Rows and Columns.)
-Right 'Clicking" will always give you your options to perform.

 Next:  You will learn to add images to the table you created.

 STEP:  8.) To Add an image to your Webpage Template "Click" the image icon

 located on your Edit Tool Bar.

After Clicking the image icon a window will open, please open the media file and select the image that you want to use by "Clicking" the insert image button below.
You may also upload an image to use from you computer as well by "Clicking" the browse button at the top. "Click" the insert image button as well.
To DELETE Images from your Table,  Click or select the image, Right click and choose Cut.
-Right 'Clicking" will always give you your options to perform.

 Next:  You will learn to insert Text & Links in your Tables.

 STEP:  9.) Finally, inserting Text. You can insert text by Clicking and typing in the area you want your text to be placed.
Deleting Text , to Delete text just back space or highlight and back space the text you want deleted.


 Definition A Link is a text or image , when "clicked" it will take the viewer to other WebPages created within your website.

 STEP: 10.) To insert a LINK follow these instructions, "Click" on the Link Icon

located on the Edit Toolbar above your
Webpage Template.
After 'Clicking"  the LINK icon, a window will pop up, please select the Document or Webpage you would like to place your LINK to.
Finally, "Click " the Insert or Remove Link button and your done!
